Here you can find important strategic documents related to the national, European and global policy on climate change. They aim to give direction to policy makers in their efforts of mitigation and adaptation.
Paris Climate Conference Agreement (COP 21)
A global agreement on climate change was achieved on the Paris Climate Conference (COP 21) which took place in December 2015. Countries agreed on an action plan to limit the global warming to less than 2°C. It is a global step towards the transition to “greenhouse gas neutralitity”, which means reaching a balance between anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of greenhouse gases in the second half of this century.
The countries agreed to cooperate in the efforts to curb climate change and agreed to provide international support to developing countries.
EU Climate and Energy Framework
The targets laid out in the new EU climate and energy framework for the period 2020-2030 aim to achieve substantial reduction of green-house gas emissions and are based on an economic analysis of how best to achieve the 2050 gas-emissions reduction target.
The targets for 2030 are at least 40% reduction in the greenhouse gas emissions compared to 1990 levels, at least 27% share of renewable energy consumption, and at least 27% energy savings.

National policies on electric mobility
The National Trust Ecofund launched the first pilot scheme in Bulgaria to promote the use of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles by the central and local government administration.
Electric mobility and sustainable urban transport is becoming more and more important on European and international level.
